
Co-operativesUK have decided to publish an Annual Review that takes a look at how the co-operative sector is performing within the UK economy. The Co-operative Review 2007 covers the main areas of co-operative activity, from the larger retail co-operatives, the work of credit unions and banks and the role of worker co-ops, like total coverage. In the UK there are 4,370 registered co-operatives with a collective turnover of £27 billion. Co-operatives are making a valuable contribution to our economy, providing employment for over 195,000 people.
