Congratulations to co-director Linda Bratcher from Total Coverage who has been elected to serve on The Co-operative Solent area committee. Local area committees are part of a bigger democratic structure that govern The Co-operative Group. Committee members play a variety of roles by helping the Group manage their businesses, such as identifying new sites for stores, helping make a difference to local communities by directing the community funds to good causes and by reflecting the values of the business by supporting issues such as fair trade, animal welfare and ethical investment. Linda says: “My first meeting’s on Thursday evening and I’m looking forward to meeting my fellow committee members. I hope that together we can really make a difference in the Solent area.”
