Total Coverage director, Linda Bratcher, was thrilled to attend the Willow Housing and Care and Network Housing Group’s reception in the National Cafe at the National Gallery on Thursday 27 January 2011. VIP speaker, John Bird, founder of the of The Big Issue gave an entertaining address and presented the first ever Willow Award to Futureversity, an organisation which opens doors for young people through unconventional learning and innovative partnerships.

Continuing an eleven year relationship, design co-operative, Total Coverage, was once again been asked to copywrite, design and produce the 2009/10 annual review for residents of the Salvation Army Housing Association (SAHA).  The publication was delivered for the AGM and Director of Corporate Services, Puneet Rajput was delighted. The document is produced under the Tenant Services Authority’s (TSA) new regulatory framework and gives a summary of how well the SAHA residents feel that the association has met the six new TSA standards. Total Coverage has just delivered new exhibition materials to CDS Co-operatives

CDS Co-operatives is the largest co-operative housing service agency in London and the South of England dedicated to promoting, developing, and servicing housing co-operatives controlled by the people who live in them.

Following on from the success of the 40th year commemorative materials that we designed for Peter Bedford Housing Association earlier this year, Total Coverage recently assisted the organisation with their annual review in the form of a desk top calendar. Peter Bedford is so thrilled with the publication that they have entered it into the Professional Fundraising (PF) first-ever charity calendar competition. PF has called on charities to submit their calendars for a chance to be crowned the Charity Calendar of the Year, 2010. Calendars will be judged on their originality, design, theme and the link back to the cause. So good luck to Peter Bedford, let’s hope it’s a winner!

Director Linda Bratcher from Total Coverage graphic design workers’ co-operative was thrilled to attend the Salvation Army Housing Association’s (SAHA) 50th anniversary event at the House of Commons earlier this week. The event was attended by residents of SAHA centres from across the country, it was an opportunity for them to share their personal experiences of homelessness with MPs and highlight several key issues which directly affect them. SAHA is a registered social landlord, they have a combination of general needs housing and supported housing (social service centres and centres particularly for homeless people) in their supported centres they seek to provide additional services to enable residents and service users gain independence. Their main partner in supported housing is the Salvation Army, with whom they not only provide supported housing, but also educational and training opportunities and employment opportunities.

As part of Salvation Army Housing Association’s (SAHA) 50th year activities, they hosted an event at the House of Commons on 14 October 2009 to raise current key issues affecting homelessness and related support services. Residents, staff, members and invited guests discussed current topics with MPs. The event aimed to raise awareness with decision makers by giving residents and staff the opportunity to speak to MPs directly about their personal experiences and how legislation and policies impact on individuals and groups.

Total Coverage has just designed and produced 3 new banners on resident involvement initiatives for the Community Engagement team at Stadium Housing Association. The banners were recently used at the At Home event, held at Electric House in Willesden. Stadium head office’s open day was an opportunity for all Stadium residents to meet staff and contractors to talk about their housing matters and also join in with some fun activities.
Between bursts of belly dancing, reflexology and henna tattoos, people were able to find answers to questions about rents, community engagement, youth services, allocations and lettings, tenancy and anti-social behaviour matters and a whole lot more.
